Can you believe I used to weigh around 130 kg at one time! Now I have lost around 60 kg and I am feeling so good.

I was so unhappy with my weight that I had tried every diet that I came across. In fact I was a serial dieter. As an actor it was important for me to look good but I was so overweight. Obesity is a disease. I had been a victim of so much ridicule, I used to get depressed.

Once I started Dr. Davare’s programme my whole life changed. I realised that working out and eating right is all a matter of discipline – like getting up each day and gong to work. I had to learn about losing and maintaining my weight by eating every 2-3 hours; how to make the right choices of food. The programme gives you all the tools to achieve success.

The difficulty I experienced was with the reduced portions – I was always used to eating hearty meals. I had to resist the temptation to eat a lot and remind myself how badly I wanted to look good. When I go to restaurants I no longer order biryani, which is my favourite food, or desserts. I am satisfied now with just a small piece of cake and I have stopped drinking 6 cups of tea! I am conscious now of not going overboard.

My diet diary helps me to stay on track and serves as a reality check. It is a reaffirmation of how much progress I have made.

Now that I have lost the weight I feel so much confident and my self-image has improved. My waist which used to measure 44 inches is now 29-30 inches. I am proud to say I have six-pack abs. I feel so good I am unstoppable!
